Michele Rahal began his career as a professional racing driver in the United States driving for top road racing teams and owners such as Tom Gloy Motorsports, Lever Brothers and the Championship Group. His professional racing career continued from 1980 to 1987. In 1988, Mr. Rahal retired from active driving and moved on to create motorsports insurance packages for teams, events, facilities and drivers developing and instituting programs through such world renowned institutions as Lloyds of London.
Tremendous stress is placed on fans and teams alike when NASCAR has to postpone a race. Postponing the Daytona 500 hasn’t happened in it’s history until yesterday.

Formula One tested at Jerez Spain and Kimi Raikkonen and his Lotus were the fastest on day one. Even in testing, a driver that hasn’t driven an F1 car in two years shows that the Lotus may be a contender for more than mid pack.
Kimi Raikkonen gave credit to NASCAR as his reason for looking at a Formula One return and with Lotus. Raikkonen said he enjoyed his NASCAR experience and realized how much he wanted to race against someone again. Brittany Force and Ashley Force may be driving tTop Fuel Dragsters for their father in a year. Force want’s to reduce his teams Funny Car count and add two Nitro Dragsters. The top 35 rule helped accelerate two teams into prominence, Tommy Baldwin Racing and Phoenix Racing.
Danica Patrick benefitted from the points deal made between Stewart-Haas and Tommy Baldwin Racing. Baldwin gets technical and personnel help and Danica gets the points from the #36 car. Rubens Barrichello is considering a move to IndyCar. Barrichello has just left Williams Formula One. Courtney Force, daughter of John Force, will make her debut in Funny Cars in February in Pomona, California. Courtney Force says she’s ready.
NASCAR driver A.J. Allmendinger drove the last stint of the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona on Sunday to win. The Penske Sprint Cup driver has had experience in both open wheel and NASCAR. Rick Hendrick says that the #51 Phoenix Racing Chevy is not a satellite car. He would consider selling Finch the best engines now that Kurt Busch is the driver. IndyCar tests with Rubens Barrichello at Sebring this week.
Homestead will host a private test for the new 2013 Sprint Cup cars before Daytona. The test is private. The Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona begins this weekend. Rubens Barrichello will test an IndyCar for KV Racing at Sebring next week. Will he be satisfied with IndyCar after Formula One? Caterham Formula One releases images of it’s new 2012 Formula One car.
